For hosts
A dedicated selection screen with checkbox, shift-click and drag-marquee — then one action that sends exactly what you chose.
The album conversation is usually a spreadsheet of filenames or a thread of screenshots. Both lose track of which frame was actually meant, and both put the fiddly part on whoever is least equipped to do it.
Selection gets its own screen instead, built like a file manager rather than a photo viewer: click to pick, shift-click for a run, or drag a marquee across a block of frames. The count follows you. When you send, the photographer receives the real photos, grouped by who chose them, so two people can each send their own set without either being overwritten.
A separate screen from the delivery gallery, laid out for picking rather than for viewing.
Per-photo checkbox, Ctrl/Cmd or Shift click, or a drag marquee that auto-scrolls at the edges.
"Send to photographer" sends your selection; "Send whole album" sends everything if that is genuinely the answer.
Reopen and send again — the photographer sees your current selection, not a pile of old ones.
