Common questions
How does location-based photographer discovery work?
InstantPix uses your device's GPS or city to find verified photographers within your chosen radius (5–50 km). Results are sorted by distance with live distance labels.
Are photographers background-verified?
Photographers complete an identity check and a portfolio review before their profile goes live. The directory also carries a few seeded example studios that show how a profile looks.
How does Razorpay payment protection work?
Payments are processed by Razorpay, which is PCI-DSS compliant — your card details never touch InstantPix servers. A 30% advance confirms your booking and locks the quoted price, and every booking, payment and delivery is recorded on-platform, so a dispute has a paper trail. If you cancel, our Cancellation Policy applies: a full refund 24 hours or more before the event, and 75% within 24 hours.
What is the AI face search?
After your event, upload a selfie and face search returns the photographs it matches you to, usually within seconds. Two searches per event are free without an account; after that, signing in is free and gives you more.
Can I cancel a booking?
Yes. Cancellations made 24+ hours before the event receive a full (100%) refund; within 24 hours of the event you receive a 75% refund (a 25% late-cancellation fee applies). See our Cancellation Policy for full details.
How do I find my photos after an event?
Go to Find My Photos, enter your event code (shared by the organiser or photographer), and upload a selfie. Face search returns the photographs it matches you to. No app to install; two searches per event are free without an account.
Can photographers upload event albums for their clients?
Yes. Photographers create an event code, upload the album, and assign client access. Clients then retrieve their photos using the same code — connecting bookings to photo delivery.
