InstantPix packages the archive on the server. You pick a size, the job runs, and you get a link. A large event genuinely takes a while — this is thousands of files being fetched and written, not an instant action — so the job survives a reload: come back later and the same archive is waiting rather than starting over.

Questions
- Can I zip just one collection?
- Not yet — the archive covers the whole gallery. For a subset, download the photos you want from the collection directly.
- How long does it take?
- Minutes for a large event, and honestly so — every file is fetched and written into the archive. The page shows elapsed time and keeps polling; you do not have to sit and watch it.
- Is the download link private?
- It is unguessable and expires after 48 hours, but it is not tied to your account — anyone you forward it to can use it until it expires. Treat it like the archive itself.
- Is there a size limit?
- Yes, and it varies by the photographer's plan. A gallery beyond the limit returns a clear error stating the cap and the actual size rather than failing silently or truncating the archive.
